Welcome! Do you have old photographs that have seen better days, or portraits in need of retouching? Picture frames that have broken or need refinishing? What about that box of pictures you've been meaning to make into a slideshow for your parents' anniversary? Maybe you need copies of a picture that is too large for most scanners, or a photo that's stuck to glass? I can take care of all that for you.
With over thirty years' experience, I can provide these services and many others to restore and preserve your cherished photographs. From repairs and restorations to archiving for future generations, when you entrust your photos to me, each one receives the full care and attention it deserves until the completed project is delivered back to you.
The Process I utilize a high-resolution scanner to make a digital copy of your picture. Your original photo is returned to you unchanged. Once I've completed your project, the new file is saved to a disc and photo prints are made on archival paper. The disc is delivered to you along with your prints; you may use the disc to make prints, upload to your computer for e-mailing and sharing online, or whatever you choose.
Other Services Available In addition to photo restorations, I also offer a number of other services. Photo alterations are available (including removing or adding people or objects from pictures); photo collages, which combine a number of pictures into one, are a great way to display special events such as weddings, graduations, family get-togethers, etc. Another popular option for sharing a large number of photos is a custom slideshow; these can be tailored to your needs with special music of your choice, captions, titles, and are delivered to you on a DVD that can be played on most stand-alone DVD players or computers. These are a great idea for anniversaries, weddings, and celebrations of all kinds. Framing is also an option for displaying your photos. I can provide a range of services from custom matting and framing to repairing or restoring your own damaged or broken frame. Sunlight (and even indoor lighting) can fade or damage photographs over time, but the materials I use are conservation-quality, and can help prolong the life of your picture while it is on display. Although they are becoming increasingly rare, I can still offer the service of copying audio cassettes or transferring them to CD. Video transfers to DVD are also available from VHS tapes, MiniDV tapes, and some VHS-C tapes, as well as media cards and some hard-drive camcorders. Editing services may also be available, depending upon the project. (These services are available only for your own videos; I cannot copy professional or copyrighted material for you without a copyright release.) For additional samples and more details, see the next page.
Pricing Because of the nature of the process on most of these services, there is a wide range of pricing and turnaround time. In order to give you an accurate estimate, I need to look at your project and assess what needs to be done. Please contact me for a free consultation. (423)943-1324 P.O.
